The king looked around and saw just sad faces. He commanded the court jester "make me smile"
So the court jester tried his tricks to make his highness smile, ah but not a fleeting glimpse of that precious smile. Alas the king felt sad and bid his court goodnight.
This went on for days and days. Finally the king proclaimed "Anyone who makes me smile shall be rewarded with wealth beyond compare".
This message spread like a wild fire in his kingdom far and wide. People came in droves to try and make the king smile. Ha, but not once did his highness smile.
Hence it was proclaimed "By any means make the king smile. All shall be allowed for his smile"
Gladiators were brought to the court and a fight until death was organized, the king was entertained but there was still no smile. People were crushed beneath the elephant’s legs, ha but the sadness from the kings could not be driven away.
Finally there arrived the cruelest hearted person with a smiling man. The king was surprised and screamed "how dare does the person smile?"
Said the cruel person “I don’t know your highness but now I know I can make you smile”. He said “we shall punish this happy person to wipe away his smile and them my lord you shall have your smile!”
So happened things that can’t, shouldn’t and won’t be told, but finally the smile was wiped from his face and the sorrow in his heart reflected on his face.
When the sad face was bought to his court there was flicker of a wicked smile from his highness.
P.S have you ever met someone whose only motive in life is to be happy?
How many times have people asked you alarmed,” looking happy?, what's the reason?”
